We are continuing to find great people who want to work at Accredited because they believe in our philosophy of how to serve you and improve the quality of your lives. Making a Difference:
Volunteering with "Help at Your Door"
This year, members of our team had the privilege of volunteering with Help at Your Door, an organization dedicated to supporting local senior homeowners and individuals with disabilities, helping them maintain their independence and remain in their homes.
In partnership with this organization, they spent the day assisting with essential outdoor home maintenance tasks to prepare for the upcoming winter months. Our team’s efforts included clearing leaves, cleaning gutters, removing fall debris from lawns, and addressing other needs identified by the homeowners.
This volunteer day was not only an opportunity to make a tangible impact on the lives of those in our community, but also a chance to foster a stronger sense of connection and support among our team.
Our staff has been proudly participating in volunteering with Help at Your Door for the past eight years, and it’s an experience that continues to inspire and energize us. We look forward to many more opportunities to give back and strengthen the fabric of our community.
At Accredited, we recently hosted a small gathering at our office for an engaging and informative session on Tax Planning for Commercial Real Estate Owners. This event provided an in-depth exploration of critical tax planning strategies that are top of mind for many real estate owners today.
Commercial real estate ownership offers unique opportunities, but also presents complex challenges when it comes to tax planning and wealth transfer to future generations. As changes to the income and estate tax landscapes loom on the horizon, understanding the evolving tax environment and key mitigation strategies has never been more important.
During our discussions, we delved into strategies like Umbrella Partnership Real Estate Investment Trusts (UPREITs)—a potentially powerful tool for diversifying real estate holdings while deferring income tax liabilities. We also provided a comprehensive overview of the anticipated upcoming changes to the estate tax environment, highlighting why this is a crucial time to consider wealth transfer strategies.
As tax laws evolve, it’s essential for commercial real estate owners to stay informed and proactive to make the most of available opportunities and mitigate risks. We look forward to continuing these important conversations and helping our clients navigate the complexities of tax planning. If you would like to hear more about these techniques, please contact your team.

2024 Best RIAs to Work For by Financial Planning: Financial Planning partnered with Best Companies Group to identify companies that have excelled in creating quality workplaces for employees. According to Financial Planning, “this survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best employers in the RIA profession, benefiting its economy, workforce and businesses.”
To be considered for participation, firms had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
Must be a firm registered as an RIA with the SEC
Have a facility in the United States
Have a minimum of 10 employees working in the United States
Must be in business a minimum of 1 year
Firms from across the United States entered the two-part survey process to determine Financial Planning’s Best RIAs to Work for. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top firms and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process, analyzed the data and determined the final ranking.
